2 Sunday Brunch at Stecchino

Stecchino, in my opinion, has one of the best Brunch deals around the area, especially when you get a deal off TravelZoo, it makes it that much better honestly.  For 30 Bucks, I got 2 full meals from their brunch menu and unlimited drinks for 90 minutes.  Being that this is the second time i've been here, I had a pretty good idea of what to order.

(90 minutes of screwdrivers - YUM!)

The place in general looks like your casual american style restaurant, bar up front, tables and booths scattered about, and fairly large.  However, if you're going for brunch, may I suggest going BEFORE 1230, as the place gets PACKED! QUICKLY!

We started off with an order of Grilled Candied Maple Bacon and Eggplant Fries.  Let me tell you that this Bacon is some of the crispiest, best tasting bacon I've had at any restaurant...and I've had A LOT of bacon in my days.  SO GOOD! Not a huge fan of Eggplant at all, but, it was very tasty, and the ranch sauce it came from complimented it well.  If you get ANY side dish...GET THE BACON!!!!!

For my meal I decided on getting the Butchers Block, which is ground cured boar sausage and black truffles with fresh pork shoulder. If you said, ERMAHGERD when you read that, you are correct.  It is DEEEEEEEEELICIOUS!!! Perfectly seasoned, the meats mix together nicely, and not to mention, it's a THICK patty.  Comes with a side of fries (dipping sauce would really be awesome for these fries, but I settled with ketchup). Also, the pickle is nice and crispy.

I don't normally write about what the other person got when I do my posts, however, my fiance told me her meal was awesome, and I figured y'all shouldn't be deprived of hearing about good food.  I Digress, Kelly, ordered the Maple Link Sausage Benedict.  It consisted of two sliced sausage, on top of of an english muffin, with poached eggs, onions, and hollandaise sauce.  From the look on her face, she throughly enjoyed it, and mentioned that the sausage was cooked just right, with the eggs adding that extra special flavor.

Overall, if you couldn't tell, Stecchino, was a blast! The food was great, the service is great, atmosphere is what you would expect from a Sunday brunch.  I HIGHLY!!! suggest you go try it out one weekend, and if you do, let me know your thoughts. Also, call ahead to make a reservation, it helps!!

  1. I'm ALL about brunch. I wish NJ had better brunch options than just going to one of our 5463154 diners.
