0 Best Burger Hunt NYC - Part 4 (Bobby Vans Burger)
Bobby Vans Burger is directly across the street from my job, it was cold out, tons of co-workers had suggested trying it and had given it rave reviews. Naturally, I had to give it a try.
All I have to say is, WOW, was I completely disappointed. I'm sure a lot of you are saying, "REALLY? It was bad?" YES! It was! Lets just start with what I ordered from their somewhat small menu. I got a regular burger with pepper jack cheese, bacon lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles, with onion rings and fries on the side (YEA I WAS FEELING FATTY, DON'T JUDGE ME). The burger was sandwiched between a sesame seed bun, which was stale. It completely fell apart on me. By the last few bites, I wound eating the burger without a bun...no joke. The pickles did not taste very fresh either. The burger itself WAS tasty, but the bad far outweighed the good, and I was let down at that. After the first few bites, I said, lets give these sides a try, well, they were not very warm at all, and kind of cold honestly. They had no dipping sauces either, which is really a shame, because a good chipotle aioli or garlic sauce would do wonders.
I'm going to give Bobby Vans Burger a 3 out of 10.
(Side Note: Maybe I will give it another try down the road, however, I'm steering clear of this place)
