0 Beer Sips - Sunday Singlecut Funday
For Sunday Funday a friend brought two growlers from Singlecut Beersmiths of Astoria.
First up was the Mad Michael Flying V SourLagrrrr. Has a very sweet smell to it, with a light color. For taste, it is quite sour, but really it's pretty smooth as well. For a beer that is very lemony in flavor, I didn't hate it, as I usually do with other lemon tasting brews like a summer shandy. With a 5.5 ABV, it's more of an occasional drink, and probably better suited drinking in the summer and not the winter. Give it a 6 out of 10.
Second up, the 19-33 QueensLagrrr. The original singlecut beer. The flagship brew to Singlecut is crisp, light, and very tasty. Really cant describe the taste to it, though you can definitely taste the wheat and grains that are in it. It's also quite hoppy so if you get it be prepared for that. I'm giving it a 7 out of 10.

Being that I'm fairly picky when it comes to the beer I drink, I thought I would share a list of my favorite brews from the NY area.

0 Permission to come aboard Captain??
Captain Lawrence Pumpkin Ale.
Look, I know a lot of people are not fans of pumpkin flavored beers. And to the select few of you, well, to be honest, GOOD! Just means for us folks who do enjoy them.
Now if you have had Captain Lawrence before, you already know they make a quality brew. Throw in a Pumpkin Ale and you got yourself a delicious mix of pumpkin, amber, a hint of cinnamon, and nutmeg. Very delicious. With a ABV of 5.5%, you're sure to enjoy this seasonal beer while say, carving a pumpkin, sitting by a FirePit on a cool night, or a tailgate at a football game. Wherever you are and you happen to see this beverage, give it a shot, otherwise your drink is on me.
